Halloween Pumpkin Projects for the Classroom

If you are the room mother or teacher's helper in your child's school classroom you may be wondering what Halloween pumpkin project you could have the kids do during the Halloween party. While there are numerous that you can choose from you must consider the age of the children, the time constraints of the classroom party and the portability of the finished project. All of these Halloween pumpkin projects are great for younger children, can be done quickly and easy to bring home from the classroom. Here are some great Halloween pumpkin projects for the classroom:

•	Pumpkin Candy Pouches-This is an easy to do craft for the youngest of children.

What you will need:

Orange Tissue paper

Black construction paper

Green yarn

Small wrapped candies (You may be able to fit one candy bar on the bottom along with several wrapped candies.)

Instructions for the project:
Cut a square of tissue paper that is about 6"x6". Have the child pile the candies in the center. Bunch up the edges and tie with yarn. Have the child cut face pieces out of black construction paper and glue to "pumpkin".

•	Soda Bottle Jack-O-'Lantern Craft-This clever craft is especially popular with kids. You may want to have everyone bring a soda bottle or begin collecting long before the party.

What you will need:

Materials:

2 liter soda bottle, with label removed

Orange paint

Self stick felt (need to pre-cut beforehand)

Green regular felt cut in circles (about 3-4 inches)

Twine

Instructions for the project: Pour some paint inside the bottle add a little water, put the lid on and let the kids shake it around to distribute it all around the bottle.
Pre-cut eyes, noses and mouths from the self-stick felt and let the kids choose which ones they wanted to stick on their bottle. Add the green felt circle to the lid and tie the twine around it with a bow.

•	Pumpkin Treat Carton-This makes a wonderful container to send home treats after a Halloween party at school.

What you will need:

An empty 2 L milk carton,

Glue or tape,

Scissors,

Black construction paper

Instructions for the project: Make the pieces of your Jack O lantern face out of the black construction paper. Cut out all of the pieces. Cut the top off a milk carton. You can cut off as much of the top as you like it will depend on how tall you want your container to be. Cover your milk carton with the orange construction paper keep in mind that it takes about 2 pieces. Then you can tape or glue the eyes, nose, mouth, leaves and stem onto the front. Cut out a strip of cardboard or construction paper that is about 10 inches long and glue to the sides of the container to use as a handle.

•	Pumpkin Votive Candle Holder Craft-While this is a fun craft it is important that you talk about fire safety and with matches when you make this craft!

What you will need:

One small baby food jar, cleaned with label removed.

Orange tissue paper or paper napkins

Mod podge or white glue

A votive candle or tea light candle (tea lights are less likely to break the jar)

Paint brush, cue tip or craft stick

Instructions for the project: If you are using white glue you will need to thin it; mix 1/2 glue and 1/2 water in a container. If using paper napkins you will need to separate the plies. Rip the tissue paper or napkins into pieces about 1 inch by 1 inch. It works best if the pieces are jagged. Ripping the tissue paper is also good motor control practice for the kids. Using your paint brush, paint the baby food jar with the mod podge or thinned glue. You should only paint the main jar area (not the part where you would screw the top on so that paper does not catch fire). Paste tissue paper all over the jar overlapping the pieces. Paint more glue over the top of any pieces that look a bit loose. Let dry completely. Cut out a jack-o-lantern face from black construction paper or from white paper and color it and then attach to the front of the jar.

Bubbleberries on Etsy

Bubbleberries sells knitted costume tails - which, surprisingly, seem to be in high demand! They're a great addition to any homemade costume. Hats and headbands with ears are floating around all over the place, but very few companies are making really good-looking tails. Because the tails are knitted, they are quaint and craftsy. Some have wire throughout and can be bent into any amusing shape; others are stuffed; others are made entirely of yarn, and these tend to actually sway realistically with your movement. Tails pin on to pants or attach to waste with an elastic band. Bubbleberries also takes custom orders.

Halloween Witch MakeUp You Can Do at Home

One of the classic costumes for Halloween is a witch, but you can choose between the good, sexy witch, or the evil, sinister witch. The following is a look at how to do your makeup if you want to have the look of the nasty, cackling lady that turns men into animals, poisons apples, and eventually gets melted by a bucket of water.

First, you have to have a green base makeup. You will use this instead of a regular foundation. You can yourself, or buy a green face paint to put on. Use a facial sponge to apply the makeup evenly over your face. Make sure that you not only paint your face, but your neck as well, so that you do not look like a floating head. Put a light coating on, and then let it dry completely before you put another coat on. Let this dry, and finally, put a last coat on that is brown, white, or red. Do a very light coat of it, and you will see a very scary, haunting effect.

If you want to be the evil witch, and you do not want to have a green face a pale face will work equally well. To get a good look, try a regular foundation, and then use a layer of reflecting lotion, which will make it look white, and help it stand out really well.

The next thing you need to do is your lips. Most evil witches have dark, almost sinister looking lips. So, choose a dark red lipstick, and put it on so that it can be the under color, then cover it with a black or a purple to give it depth and a bold look. Be sure to use a lip liner so that it does not run, and to give your pout extra definition. Around Halloween, most of the makeup brands bring out their Halloween line, so you can pick up a few tubes of Wet n Wild;s Halloween makeup collection for really inexpensive. So play around until you get the desired look.

Next is your eyes. You have to make them dark and menacing. The best way to do this is to use plenty of black shadow and black eye liner pencils. This is best achieved with a heavy hand. Top it off with a thick coating of mascara.

Next, take the same black eye pencil, and use it to give yourself some wrinkles and age spots, give yourself a deep frown, and some furrows. Then use a sponge to blend it some into your green makeup. The black stands out strongly against the green background. Be sure to capture the deep frown lines and brow furrows so typical of witches.

Last, but not least, accent your makeup with things like warts, dark nails, and spiders in your hair.

The Best Vampire Makeup

The following are some of the things you want to do with makeup in order to get a realistic vampire costume this Halloween:

Paleness: Vampires are pale, so use a white base makeup, or a white face powder to get the pale look of not being in the sun. You will want to make sure your face is clean, and that you apply it evenly and all in one direction. If you are going for the sparkly skin look that is talked of in the popular "Twilight" books, consider adding glitter to your skin, or a shimmer powder.

Eyes: It is said that most vampires have intense eyes, so use black eye liner to outline the eyes, and consider adding width and length to your eyebrows. This is going to help, and if you want to go even further, you can special order "vampire" contact lenses that change the look of the pupil, etc.

Cheeks: to make your vampire look even more ruthless and scary, consider giving them a hollowed out face, by applying some dark makeup to the cheek hallows and just under the cheekbones. This will make the cheeks appear more gaunt, and your vampire look will be more sinister.

Lips: When it comes to the lips of vampires you either want them very pale, or very dark. So, decide if you want the dramatic look, or the light look. For dramatic you will want a dark red, lip stick, or black. Gloss it over to make it more noticeable. For pale lips, cover with powder, or foundation.

Fake blood: The key ingredient to a good vampire Halloween costume, and appropriate vampire makeup is the blood. You will want to have some fake blood the dribbles down your chin from the corners of your lips. So, start by mixing up some fake blood. There are several different recipes. The fastest and easiest is to mix one part water to three parts corn syrup, and then add in some chocolate syrup and red food coloring. You will then want to apply it to the corner of your mouth, and let it drip naturally. Then, be careful not to touch it while it dries. Also be careful you do not apply too much as it may drip down to your clothes, and stain them. Of course, if you do not want to make your own fake blood, you can purchase it. However, most people find that the homemade stuff is cheaper, easy to make, and tends to taste a whole lot better.

Top off your vampire look by purchasing some fake vampire fang teeth. These are going to make sure no one has any mistake about what, or who you are trying to be. Consider temporarily dying your hair black, and wearing it pointed in the front.

Halloween Vampire Make Up You Can Do at Home

To get the vampire look this Halloween, you will need the aid of some makeup. Your Halloween vampire makeup will consist mainly of three colors: black, white, and red. Of course, you can always add a bit more color if you want, but for the really sinister look, sticking to the traditional black, white, and red is best.

When applying your makeup, remember to do it really neat. Unlike most of the "undead" vampires are supposed to look sleek and sophisticated. They often have a glossy appeal to them.

Start with the mouth: The thing vampires are known for is their sucking of other's blood. So, make sure your vampire look is complete with truly appealing lips. It should be your most prominent feature as a vampire.

The lips should look bloodstained. So, one of the best things you can do is get a blood red lipstick and apply it, then cover it with a clear gloss. If you want a really dramatic look, consider a dark, glossy black for the lips. If you are wearing lipstick, be sure to use a lip liner, as it will keep the lipstick from bleeding, and will give your lips a more defined, and controlled look.

Of course, no vampire mouth would be complete without blood dripping from the corners. So, you have two options, you can paint it on, or you can use fake blood. The best looking, and most realistic approach is the fake blood approach. You can purchase fake blood at a costume store, or you can make it yourself at home. It is actually very simple to make.

To make fake blood mix 1 cup light corn syrup, red food coloring, and chocolate syrup together to get the color and consistency you wish for. Then apply it to the corners of your mouth, and let it drip down your chin. Do not touch it, let it dry.

The eyes are the next feature you need to play up. When wearing normal makeup you should not play up both, but as a vampire, it is critical. So, use tons of black eye liner, and black eyebrow pencils to make your eyes heavy and intense. You will want to line the top and bottom lids with heavy liner. A liquid liner may work best for this. You then want to use a dark gray to fill in the crease. And then a silver or other shimmery shadow on the lids. Then add a nice thick coat of mascara. Make the eyebrows really dramatic by filling them in, and changing the shape to dramatic arches.

You can make your vampire look really scary by adding some bruising under the eyes to make yourself appear sleep deprived. Do this using blue, purple, and gray shadow, and blending it well into your foundation.

Once you have done that, it is time to make the rest of your face appear pale. Most people recommend you do this first, but you should do it last so that the dark makeup you used earlier does not get stuck in your foundation. Use a "too light" color or powder, and go over your face to make yourself really pale.

Halloween Vampire Makeup: Your Complete Guide

When doing your Halloween makeup for a vampire costume, you have to know what kind of vampire you really want to be. The following is a look at the various types of vampires, and how to do your Halloween makeup to achieve that look.

Seriously Undead:

To get this look, you are going to start by putting a white pancake makeup on, or white powder to make yourself pale. Then you are going to use blue, gray, and green shadow to create some discoloration and bruises on the skin. Start with a wet brush and apply blue, then use your finger to apply some gray to the middle, and then a dry brush to add some olive green on the edges, then sponge it together for a blended look. Use makeup pencils to add wounds, scratches, scars, etc. and fake blood running down the chin.

Period vampire:

If you want to look like a vampire who just climbed out of a cript, use corn starch on clothes, hair etc. for dust. Then, use a white makeup to make yourself look pale. Use some dark shadow to make some dirt smudges on the face, and use extra brown in your fake blood to make it appear older and more congealed. Extra chocolate syrup works well. Then, of course, apply your blood early enough that it has a chance to dry so you look old.

Modern Gothic:

For this look you will wear long coats, shiny PVC and big boots, but for your makeup you are going to use thick eyeliner, blood red lip stick, and black finger nail polish. You are going to make all of your features really intense, but also sleep at the same time. Use lots of black liner.

Everyday Vampire:

This is for the person who wants to be a modern vampire that blends in. So, wear a tux or a long dress, and dust your skin with a shimmer powder or glitter. Then wear bright red lip stick, with a gloss over to make it look more polished. Use black liner, but don't go really goth, just intense enough to draw notice to the eyes. Skip the vampire teeth. This is the look of the vampire trying to blend in with human society. Just be pale with blood stained lips.

Traditional vampire:
If you want to be a Vampire, first cover face in white makeup or white powder. Then, use a black pencil to outline sharp eyebrows. Use black makeup to fill them in. Outline eyes with a dark liner. Use a brown or reddish pencil to create a "V" in the forehead, and blend it in. Use a blood red lip stain, and use some fake blood to drip down the chin, and fake teeth to complete the look.

Fake Blood to Gross Out Friends and Neighbors

Halloween is the one holiday a year when you can get dressed up in your goriest, scariest, and bloodiest costume ever. It is fun to go all out and make things look real. One of the ingredients to a truly horrifying costume is blood. The following is a look at fake blood makeup, how to create it, how to wear it, and how to make it look as real as possible:

There are many ways to create fake blood, and if you do a search on Google, for example, you will be sure to find hundreds of different recipes for it. This is a fairly simple recipe that uses household ingredients, or things that are simple to find:

To make basic blood you are going to need:

White Corn Syrup or Karo Syrup which can be found in almost any grocery store.

Food coloring, to make your blood look real, you will need more than just red food coloring, but also blue and yellow.

Peanut butter, if you have nut allergies this is not something you should use. Chunky peanut butter workds great if you want to have blood clots, and make your fake blood makeup look even gorier than it already will.

To make your fake blood, first determine how much fake blood you need. Then dump that much syrup into a bowl. Then add the red food coloring to the amount of syrup you decide to use.

Use a mixing spoon to mix well then add blue or yellow food coloring to slightly change the color until you get something you are happy with. This is personal preference, but adding the blue and yellow to your fake blood gives it tone and richness of hue.

If you want thinner blood, you will want to add some water, for thicker blood, such as the blood you would want to use for a "head wound" etc. you will add peanut butter. Creamy or chunky works, though the chunky gives you clots.

To make your blood look really awesome, you have to apply it properly. So, make sure you apply it in plenty of time to allow it to dry completely, otherwise you will smear it. So, put it where you want it, and let it drip down naturally, then avoid touching it until it dries, and even then it is best not to touch.

Voila, you have great fake blood makeup, however, like real blood, fake blood can stain, so you want to be careful as to where you are when you put it on, so it does not drip on your carpet and stain it, or on clothes you do not want ruined.

Last, but not least, when wearing fake blood makeup, it is important to know how to remove it after a long night of fun scaring people and getting reactions to your gore. To remove, use warm water and gentle soap.

Fake Blood Make Up You Can Mix Up at Home

Fake blood makeup is a lot of fun, but there are different kinds of blood that can be made, some fitting your purpose better than others. The following is a look at recipes for fake blood makeup:

The easy one: Homemade Blood

You will need:

1/2 bottle of light corn syrup
Hot water
A squirt of liquid soap
Red, blue, and yellow food coloring

To make you are going to want to put corn syrup and water in a bowl until you get the blood consistency you want. You will then add one squirt of liquid soap. This is going to ensure that when it is time to clean up that it comes off more readily. Once you do this, color your blood to your preference using the food coloring. Then store it in the fridge until you are ready to wear it. When you wear it, be sure to let it drip naturally, and dry completely before touching it. In addition, remember it stains, so be careful not to get it on anything.

Movie blood:

You will need:

Alcohol free hair gel (clear)
Water-soluble motor/radiator lubricant, any brand.
Red food coloring.
Chocolate syrup.
Hand sanitizer

To make it you are going to use about ¾ of the amount of blood you want hair gel. Put it in a bowl, then add a small amount of radiator lubricant, until the mixture turns slightly watery. Then use red food coloring. You will need about half as much coloring as you have mixture. Then once mixed, add some chocolate syrup to make the blood look more real, and thicker. Add a squirt of hand sanitizer to make it easier to clean off, and to get the right drippy consistency. Once it is a little thicker than water, and the color you want, it will be sticky, and will create a nice splatter on clothing, etc. if you drip it from about five feet away. On skin it looks like the real thing. Be careful it stains, and will get everywhere if you use too much.

Edible bood:

If you are going to put fake blood makeup on your face, making it edible makes things a lot easier.

You need 3-4 bottles of glycerin.
A cup of strawberry jelly
1/5 packet of gelatin
Red food coloring

Microwave the glycerin, add one cup of strawberry jelly and mix thoroughly. Once mixed, stir in a fifth a packet of gelatin, and red food coloring to preference of color. Then apply to your body. It works well for large wounds, as it simulates clotting, it also works well on the face, hands, etc.

These are just a few fake blood make up recipes, have fun with it, and don't forget that it stains, so be careful what it gets on.

You Can Do It: Fake Blood Make Up

Nothing makes a scary Halloween costume scarier than realistic looking fake blood makeup. The following are some great fake blood recipes that are non-toxic, and in some cases even edible, to help you have a great Halloween:

Fake, non-toxic blood

You need: Water, corn syrup, red and blue food coloring, chocolate syrup.

To make you are going to use 1 part water to 3 parts corn syrup. You will want to make as much blood as you need. Then add red food coloring and mix, then slowly add in some small amounts of blue food coloring to get a more realistic shade of blood. Once you get the color you want, make it even more realistic, and thicker, by adding in chocolate syrup. Once you have the consistency you wish, let it stand for ten minutes or so in a warm environment. Then apply, be careful, it stains. Let it drip naturally, and let it dry completely.

Edible chocolate blood

You need: Light corn syrup, red drink mix (cherry cool aid powder), cocoa powder, and chocolate syrup.

To make this edible blood you will need to combine the light corn syrup with the red drink mix, and stir. Use the quantity of blood you want. Then carefully add small amounts of cocoa powder to darken the mixture to a more realistic color. Last, but not least, thicken it using chocolate syrup until you get your desired consistency. It is going to look like real blood, and taste like chocolate. This is the perfect fake blood makeup for facial wounds.

Fake blood makeup application tips:

1.	It stains so apply it somewhere that if it drips it will not ruin your flooring. Putting it on outside is best, as it can stain carpet. If you plan to ride in a car, be careful about where on your body you apply it, as it will stain.

2.	Let it drip naturally. If you want to have the most realistic looking fake blood makeup, be sure to apply it, and then not touch it. Let it drip on its own, and dry completely so that it does not get smeared. This means apply it enough in advance that it can dry before you head out to your Halloween party, or trick or treating.

3.	For a splatter affect, get about five feet above the item you want splattered, and let it drop. This is great for simulating gun shot wounds on clothing, etc.

4.	To make blood look clotted, consider stirring in some chunky peanut butter to the mixture. This will make the blood look even gorier, and it will stick well, and be nice and thick.

5.	To get the fake blood make up off after, use some hot water, and mild soap. It is going to be really sticky in your hair etc, so make sure you have time, and are not too tired for a shower.

So You Think You Can Be A Witch?

If you are going to be a witch for Halloween, you will need to do Halloween witch makeup, the following are a few tips for applying said makeup:

Tip 1: Clean your face, tone it, and moisturize it before you ever put your makeup on. It is going to be healthier for your skin this way, however, in addition to that, it will help it stay longer, as your face will be less oily, and thus your makeup will stick longer.

Tip 2: Because people touch their face, your makeup is sure to smear unless you do something to prep your skin for it, so that it doesn't happen. So, apply a primer to your skin before putting on your Halloween witch makeup.

Tip 3: When putting on your Halloween witch makeup, start with a light foundational layer. Then, get a darker look by adding a second coat, once the first one dries. This does a few things, it helps it last longer, and it helps give it a more realistic appearance.

Tip 4: For a witch costume, you will want to have dark eyes and shadow. So, use a black liner, and use purples and grays for applying to the lids. Be sure to finish it off with a nice dark mascara.

Tip 5: Your lips matter, a witch has to have a sinister sneer, so make sure your lipstick lasts by using a liner, and a long lasting style. Line your lips with a darker color and fill in with a matching lip stick. Blacks and reds tend to be the most popular for the witch look.

Tip 5: Part of helping your witch makeup really stand out is to use "extras" to enhance the effect. For example, if you are going for a sexy, or cute witch, a little glitter on the edge of your eyes can go a long way. If you want to go for the evil old witch, a wart with a few hairs sticking out of it, or a mole will do a lot.

Tip 6: Unless you want to be a big mess when all is said and done, it is smartest to pull your hair back while you apply your makeup, and leave it back until the makeup has had a chance to dry completely.

Tip 7: If you are trying to pull of the witch look with makeup, go with the recognizable witch stuff, for example, paint your face green. You can do this by adding green food coloring to your existing makeup, or by making your own, or purchasing green face paint or creams.

Tip 8: Don't forget about other exposed skin. Painting your face green is great, but not if your neck is going to show, so paint that too. Also, be sure to age your hands, and make them look evil, paint your fingernails black, file them into points, add age spots to your hands with makeup, etc. Halloween makeup goes beyond the face.

Tip 9: Get more defined features by adding a bit of black eyeliner first, then blending it into the green face paint, as it will define the area.

Tip 10: Use a cold cream to help remove makeup, water, or a mild soap.

Halloween Witch Make Up You Can Do at Home

When doing your Halloween witch makeup, the first thing you have to ask yourself is what kind of witch you want to be. There are many different versions of a witch that you can use for Halloween, but each one requires different makeup. The following is a look at witch makeup for a good witch:

The Good Witch

The good witch is the magical being that is not evil. They usually are fun, sparkly, and frilly. They may still use the blacks, greens, and oranges, of a bad witch, but the approach is different. While a bad witch might wear a long black dress, a good witch may wear a tutu of black, green and orange, with stripped socks, and a black top. The idea is to be cute, sexy, and fun. This works well for both boys and girls.

For the makeup for a good witch, you need to pay attention to each part of the face.

The face itself: A bad witch would be painted green, a good witch is not. A regular makeup foundation that matches your skin tone would be perfect.

The lips: A bad witch might have black or blood red lipstick, a good witch is going to don a more feminine and innocent color, such as a berry, or a light pink. Also, a good witch needs to make their happy, smiling lips pop, so topping off lip color with a great shiny gloss might be just the thing. The great thing is you can get an inexpensive lip color such as a pink from wet and wild, or go for a more expensive one like MAC Lipglass in Malibu Barbie.

The cheeks: bad witches are gaunt and dark, good witches are pretty and sweet. So, make perfect little circle of a shade of pink blush. A blush like L'Oreal Blush Delice in Pink Marshmallow is perfect. You can sweep it across the cheeks for an overall rosiness, or do circles for a more dramatic look.

Lashes: False Eyelashes are a great way to dramatize the eyes. You can even get ones with rhinestones and glitter. Ardell's Glamorous Faux Lashes are a great choice. If you do not want to wear fake lashes, just be sure to wear a generous spattering of mascara and curl your lashes.

Extras: When you are being a good witch, one of the best things you can do to make yourself look "good" is adding little extras like glitter, or paint your face with a flower, or butterfly, etc. Don't forget the tiara, jewelry, sexy heels, etc.

Being a good witch is a fun, and often sexy Halloween costume that anyone can pull off, old or young, so enjoy it, and play around with your makeup to get the desired effect that you would like.

Kid Friendly Costume Ideas You Can Create at Home

One of the best parts of Halloween is becoming something for just one night that you aren't normally. The following is a look at how to help your child with Halloween makeup in order to transform their look, and have a fun, effective, Halloween costume:

Kid friendly costume makeup ideas:

Fairy: Many little girls want to be princesses and fairies for Halloween. They want to travel to the mystical world of magic, balls, and royal princess. A dress, fairy wings, and crown are great, but to really spice up their look, fairy makeup is a must. To do fairy makeup you will need: Face paints, glitter, a spray bottle.

The best way to make a fairy costume really sparkle is to paint around their eyes. You can do flowers, butterflies, or anything that is delicate and looks like a fairy princess. Once it is done, dab on some face glitter. Add this to the paint, but also brush it across their forehead, and cheeks so that they really sparkle. When complete, spray a light mist of water on their face, and let it dry without touching. This will set the make up and help it stay in place the whole evening.

Animal: Kids love being their favorite animal for Halloween, and moms love it to because it usually means they will be nice and warm. To do your makeup for an animal costume you need some face paint. You want to paint on one base coat that matches the color of the animal, such as pink if they are a pig, brown if they are a puppy, etc. Then paint on extra features, such as whiskers, a big nose, or enlarged eyes, etc. Once you have the face painted, you want to spray it with a light mist of water, as this will help set the makeup so it won't rub off if they touch their face, which kids will do.

Witch: Being a witch for Halloween is a ton of fun, and the makeup for a witch is a bit more complex than the makeup for most kid costumes. To do witch makeup you want to start by making a good base. You can create a great face color base with 1 tsp corn starch, 1/2 tsp water, 1/2 tsp cold cream, food coloring. You will want to stir together starch and cold cream until it is well blended. Add water and stir, then add food coloring. Green food color is best for witches. Apply it to their face, and let it dry thoroughly. Then add to the face by using a putty substance which can be made using flour, corn starch, and water, to create an elongated chin, warts, etc. use a bit of black face make up to highlight these, and consider adding a few black hairs to the wart. For added effect, rat the hair and put a few fake spiders in it to give the impression of a scary, nasty, witch.

Halloween Costume Makeup Ideas You Can Do at Home

For some great Halloween costume make up ideas, and for costumes that really just require makeup, try the following:

Easy costume, just use makeup:

To look old: If your child looks like an old person, they have an instant costume. So, to look like an old person, regardless of your age, follow the steps below:

1.	Apply base make-up all over face and neck. This is going to help the other makeup you apply stay in place better, and give you an overall more realistic appearance.

2.	"Scrunch" up your face, and put a second coat of make-up over your whole face, but make it a few shades lighter than the first coat you put on. By "scrunching" your face you will emphasize your natural wrinkles. As you do this, start with small areas, so scrunch your forehead and carefully apply there, then your eyes, etc. This will give you a more natural look.

3.	"De-scrunch" your face, and take a soft brown eye-liner and start to fill in the creases that were not covered when you applied the coat.

4.	Use a brown blush, or your eye liner pencil to create sunken cheeks by darkening the cheek hollows.

5.	Use a brown shadow or eye-pencil to emphasize the creases around your nose, and darken along your jaw line. If done carefully it will look very natural and is easily accomplished.

6.	Create crows feet by your eyes using the eye pencil, and some dark shadow.

7.	Pucker up your lips to create wrinkles around your mouth. You can dust a bit of brown shadow on the creases, just be sure you make them really evident.

8.	Add liver spots using a brown pencil, add broken capillaries, etc. using colored makeup and pencils.

9.	Right now your face looks colored on, so you have to make it look more natural by blending it with a makeup sponge. Blend everything really well, the lines will be subtle, but the overall effect will be really awesome. It works best if you use a yellow undertone makeup.

10.	Use the same techniques on your hands for more realism.

11.	If you want to make it last the whole night, so you do not rub it off, be sure to powder it with baby powder at the end, and let it set, this will make your skin look more papery and old, and keep your makeup in place.

Alien: An alien is an easy costume that just takes some makeup and tin foil. Cover your arms in tin foil, put on a jump suit or neon colored clothing, and paint your skin green and shimmery and you have a great costume.

To make awesome face paint use 1 tsp corn starch, 1/2 tsp water, 1/2 tsp cold cream, green food coloring. Stir together the starch and the cold cream then add water and food coloring, stirring it all together. Then apply it. Add some glitter, and some darker coloring on top in places to create creases and a more natural look.
